The longstanding narrative of racialised communities being more prone to criminality is harmful and must continuously be challenged. Informing impacted communities and the general public about racial discrimination within policing and the Criminal Legal System is an essential part of UNJUST’s work.

In addition to our advocacy work, we raise awareness through speaking engagements at community and public events. These events enable us to share our concerns, policy proposals and visions for the future. We aspire to contribute to creating a more informed and empowered citizenry. A society where people are inspired and supported to be active in holding the state to account.
